Chapter

____________________________________________
It was the last week of the year. I can smell the cold. The
clock stopped 20 minutes past 5, and I just opened my eyes. Everything seemed
blurry. I tried to lift my head, but pain dragged me down. I began to shiver
with cold. My hands and feet were stiff in ice, and my heart was frozen.
Something was itching from inside, and it felt like a needle dipped in alcohol
was pierced through the skin. My eyes started dozing automatically. In a
semi-anesthetic condition, I could hear someone murmuring. They were talking
about medicines; I could listen to the beeping sound of some machines. I can
see the sunlight falling into the room through the window; the chirping sound
of Birds reaches my ears. The busy city is nearly visible far away. I could
make out nothing but the pain was killing me. Every time I close my eyes, she
appears in my mind.
A girl with a sculptured figure and perfect body proportions,
saffron-tinted complexion. A pair of slender eyebrows; look down on sweeping
velvet eyelashes, Ebony black eyes which are expressive and beautiful, it
shares many stories when we gaze through it. Her plummy lips were lilac
soft.
Her black hair flowed over her shoulders; puffy cheeks blushed every
time she smiled, with an elegant personality and a sugary voice which everyone
adores. She is a pure Aedh with viridity. And had the power of earth, which
attracted everything towards it.
It was when the ember-red leaves of autumn burn slowly, I
saw her for the first time. I frequently visited the church but never saw a
beautiful girl like her before, thinking she would be new to the city. She was
in a pitch-black gown, making me feel that she was a NYX.
She was friendly
to all. Everyone likes her too, a girl with a passionate mind and a hardworking
body. I wished to know more about her.
But to whom I can ask?
If I ask someone about her, what will they think of me? If she
came to know about this, what would be her reaction? Several questions were
raised in my mind. But the quest to know about her didn't go from me.
