COFFEE (Chap 2)-Ruby

CHAPTER-2

On a sunny morning, I was sitting alone in a chair in my apartment; my eyes were looking into a faraway mountain cliff through the window. But my mind was filled with her thoughts. Her beautiful face, smile, and vibration she radiates all make me think of her 24*7.

I wasn't able to concentrate on anything. My mind is being shattered every second.

"Jasiel, why are you sitting here? What happened to you? Why don't you come to university?" – George asked. He is my best friend, more correctly the only friend I have in this city. He is my batchmate at Teresa medical university. We have been living together for the past 1 1/2 years. He is not just a friend for me; moreover, my brother stayed by my side in happiness and sorrow.

"Are you deaf? He again asked me. Suddenly I woke up from my hallucination."

"Sorry, George"

"What were you thinking? I called you and texted you… Why don't you come to university? Are you not feeling well?

"What's happening to me? I wondered". How can I tell him that I was thinking about a beautiful girl I saw in church yesterday?" I suddenly try to deviate him from the topic.

We head to our Lab, where we are doing our Ph.D. work. There are 7 people on our team. We are currently on our career in Genomic medicine. As I entered the Lab, I started working. Suddenly I saw her next to me, working busily with a microscope. "Why I am thinking about her all the time," I scolded myself.

All team members were called for a meeting. Our professor Dr. Albert started introducing a new team mate. "This is Zehra from Israel; she will be joining our team from today.

Everybody started talking to her. She was so intelligent and friendly. George took me with him to her to introduce ourselves. "Hello Zehra, how are you? Welcome to our team. I am George."

"Yeah, I am good, what about you, George?" – She asked back. I was standing beside him like a rock, watching them talk. I couldn't say a word. They spoke for about ten minutes, but I didn't hear anything. I was just immersed in her radiating beauty. I was really enjoying it. I wished this moment should last forever.
